Garda Vetting

Below is the procedure to become garda vetted for the Greystones Summer Project

There are a number of stages:

  1. Complete the invitation to be vetted.
  2. Bring the invitation to be vetted, your two forms of ID (one photographic) that add to 100 points on the ID checklist, two references and the Crosscare application form to be verified by Rosemary Yeates at one of the verification evenings.
  3. Rosemary will then send your invitation to be vetted to the gardaí.
  4. When they have received this form, the National Vetting Bureau will email you personally with a link to the vetting form, which you will complete online. The vetting is currently taking one week to process from the date you submit this online vetting form. If this email doesn’t come through, please let us know by emailing contact@gsp.ie.

We have finished the ID verification sessions in Greystones. You must now take your forms to Rosemary Yeates at Bray Youth Services, St Bricin’s, Herbert Road in Bray (opposite the church car park). Rosemary is not in the office full-time, so please phone ahead to check she will be there. The office number is 01-205-0502.

Please remember you have until 30 June to complete the garda vetting process and receive your clearance. Because of the new rules, anyone who does not complete the vetting process by 30 June will lose their place on the project. We shall refund any money paid and offer your place to those on the waiting list.

To ensure you are vetted before 30 June, you should have given your completed forms to Rosemary before Friday, 9 June.

When completed, your vetting lasts for five years.

The forms needed to start this process are available below for download. Alternatively, they can be posted out to you – just email your address to contact@gsp.ie.
